How do I find out if the villa is free for the weeks I am interested in ?

At the top of each page of this site is the menu bar. Click on "Availability" which will take you to the Availability Calendar which is always kept up to date. Select the year you are interest in booking from the drop down menu and a new page will load giving details as to whether the villa is still available for the weeks you are interested in.  You can e mail us direct from this page by selecting the days you are interested in and then clicking on "Make booking request" at the bottom of the page.  Alternatively you can e mail us direct by clicking "Contact us" from the menu bar on any page including this one.

Where can I find out more information about the villa?

All you have to do is e mail us by clicking the "E Mail me" link on any page and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.  We have prepared a short DVD promoting the villa which includes the excerpt of the Channel 4 program  "A Place in the Sun" which featured our villa.  We would be happy to send you a copy of this villa free of charge for you to keep and show your friends and family.

Who do I turn to for help when at the villa?

You will be met on your arrival at the villa by Moira who with her husband Lefteris looks after the villa for us throughout the year. She will show you around the villa, where everything is located and how everything works.  Moira lives at the end of the road on which the villa is located and is no more than 30 meters away should you need anything.

What electrical goods are there at the villa?

The villa is to be our home in a few years time and when we stay there we want as many of the electrical appliances as we would use at home.  Besides the TV, CD and DVD players (a selection of CDs and DVDs for all ages are kept at the villa for your enjoyment or not), the villa is equipped with a full size oven & hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron &ironing board, kettle, toaster, George Foreman Electric Grill, Filter Coffee maker and a Panini maker. Jules would not let me put a Playstation in the villa to entertain the children and suggested a Juicer instead; guess what we also have a Juicer but how that keeps the children quiet I don't know.

When can I arrive at the villa and when must I vacate it?

To facilitate cleaning the villa for the next guests, I am afraid that we have to ask all guests to vacate the premises by 11 o'clock in the morning local time on the day of departure and that incoming guests do not arrive at the villa before 4 o'clock in the afternoon on the day of arrival.  Obviously if the villa is not booked for the week before you arrive or the week after you leave, we would be happy to let you arrive earlier than 4pm or to leave later than 11am.  This does however have to be by prior arrangement.

What extra costs are there?

The only extra cost involved in renting the villa is the air conditioning if you wish to use it.  The charge is €15 per day payable to Moira our representative who will then give you the A/C controllers.  We really regret having to impose this extra charge but the electricity costs on the Island are so high we have no alternative.

Can you arrange car hire or taxis from and to the Airport?

We would be happy to arrange car hire for you in which case we act only on your behalf.  Alternatively we can recommend a small family run car hire business based in Haraki whose rates are the best we have found to date.  They are extremely reliable and particularly friendly.  If you book a car from them for the first week of your holiday they will meet you at the airport and take you directly to the villa.  Once you leave the cases you will be taken to their offices in Haraki (approximately 15 mins away) to fill out the necessary forms and pay for the hire.  Please ensure you have your driving licence(s) with you.  The cars are all insured fully comprehensive and there are no extra charges not even for an extra driver.  As a guide the cost of an Astra Sports this year was 30€ per day high season.  If you can get car hire cheaper please let me know and I will use them.

Taxi's can be arranged to meet you at the Airport and take you to the villa obviously at your own cost and Moira will arrange for a taxi to take you to the Airport from the villa if you ask her nicely or you can arrange one yourself locally.  The taxi cost to and from the Airport in 2006 was 45€ each way. So you will save this if you hire a car from the Airport.
