Location
The Villa is ideally located halfway between Lindos and Pefkos in a small development of 12 villas in a quiet cul de sac. Both attractions are within walking distance for the young and healthy although walking along the road to Pefkos, you will encounter quite a steep hill. This means that the Island's favourite tourist attraction, Lindos, is a just over a mile away with its famous Accropolis and the beaches of Lindos and St Paul's Bay and the popular resort and Beaches of Pefkos is the same distance away. Taxis to both locations are cheap (they have fixed peices) at 4 euros each way. Taxis can be stopped on the road quite easily as they constantly travel between Lindos and Pefkos.
The backdrop of St Paul's Bay (see the Lindos Gallery of pictures)makes it a popular location for weddings both for the locals and visitors alike. Many people have stayed at the villa when attending weddings at St Paul's Bay. I know a few guests who have walked to the ceremony, although I would imagine they were quite hot when they got there.
Pefkos is a very popular resort for families and couples alike because of the beautiful beaches and the miriad of restaurants and bars there. Pefkos is also the location of a pharmacist and a doctors should you need their services. The restaurants in Pefkos like Lindos cater for all tastes ie Greek, English, Chinese amongst others.
In less than 5 minutes by car you can visit a quite large supermarket in Kalathos, visit the picturesque fishing village of Haraki (Charaki) or the Greek village of Lardos which has shops to service the locals (the butchers is highly recommended) and some very decent restaurants and popular bars (see Recommendations)
The villa is some 40 minutes from the airport where taxis will readily take you to the villa for 50 euro charge. It is also 40 minutes from Rhodes Old Town which is also a favoured tourist attraction because of its history, architecture, shops and restaurants.
At the end of the cul de sac where the villa is located, there is a small family run apartment complex where you can get a meal, have a drink whilst lounging around their very large pool. The complex is popular but because it is so small it is never crowded and does not detract from the villa in any way.
Summing up, the villa's location is such that whatever kind of holiday you are looking for ie quiet and relaxing or enjoying the local night life it is the ideal place to be based.
